my entry for

's contest C:

i've had him drawn for a while but i realized the contest was ending and finished him. C:

desc.
oak is one of a local tribe that resides in the forest. he doesn't only serve as a loyal pet but is an active part in the society of the group.

he is usually seen beside the warriors when they hunt, regardless of dusk or dawn. his muted, earthy colors help him blend into the surrounding foliage. he's able to chase after small to medium sized prey, such as rabbits and small deer. C:

sometimes the village decorates him with bone necklaces or shoulder-bags made of animal skin. on occasion the tribe may tuck trinkets and messages into this pouch and have oak deliver them to surrounding tribes.

when resting, he contentedly sleeps outside the huts or digs a shallow hole by the community fire-pit, then sleeps soundly.
